The Westlock Foundation requires a person for a Permanent .7 Cook for both facilities. The Cook is responsible for the
planning, preparation, and distribution of complete meals, lunches, snacks, and baking as per approved menu and will work
closely with the Director of Operations in order to prepare attractive appetizing home-cooked meals for the residents. As
the work schedules provide for continuous operation Sunday through Saturday, this person must be available to work
throughout the seven days of the week.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Demonstrated cooking experience for large groups.
- Proof of successful completion of a recognized food handling and food preparation course acceptable to the employer.
- Proven ability to be creative & innovative in preparing attractive meals, while following scheduled meal plans.
- Ability to keep a running inventory of supplies, so as to utilize present inventory in the most economical way.
- Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Proven ability to be self-motivated, pleasant and sincere in dealing with the independent elderly.
- First Aid course preferred.
- Active participant in safety program.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Job Rate: $15.06/hr
Probationary Period: 700 Hours

The Westlock Foundation requires a person to work a 0.65 Night Household Aid position. This person answers directly
to the Director of Human Resources and assumes the responsibility for the safety, security, and well being of the
residents at both facilities. As the work schedules provide for continuous operation Sunday through Saturday, this
employee must be available to work throughout the seven (7) days of the week.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to handle crises situations in a calm and professional manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in housekeeping and to meet time deadlines.
- Must have first-aid training and be an active participant in the Safety Program.
- Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures of the Foundation.
- Proven ability to be self-motivated, pleasant, and sincere in dealing with the elderly.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Job Rate: $13.93/hr
